A Cognac degustation was held recently in Dongguan by Camus Cognac, an old French brand now attempting to enter the Chinese market. Since 1863, Camus Cognac has been produced by five generations of the family.
Local jewelry designer Zhang Xiaochuan has been invited to design installations by Vision Magazine, an art and fashion publication in China. The work shall combine all 100 covers of the magazine and it shall be on display at the La Perle until Sept 7
Run Run Shaw Gymnasium in Jinan University was inaugurated in 1991. Covering over 7,000sqm, the gymnasium is located in the center of the Tianhe campus. It boasts 3248 fixed seats and 400 retractable ones.
Hidden amidst a four hectare litchi forest in Baiyun district, "Paradise" is a very unique animal shelter which has saved thousands of cats and dogs since it opened a decade ago.
Founded in 1908, Nanguan Cinema is one of these old movie theaters. Located on Beijing Nan Road, the cinema was an important part of local life. It closed twelve years ago, but has recently reopened after undergoing a 1 million yuan renovation.
Today the Chen Clan Academy is protected by the local government and Liwan district has undertaken a vast renovation campaign of the areas surrounding it ahead of the Asian Games which open in November.
